I know most people are tired of hearing about the China virus (Corona virus, Kung Flu, COVID-19, whatever), but for the 30+ million people that have lost their jobs because of government tyranny and overreach, it has been devastating. It is very difficult to determine how many people have actually died as a direct result of this virus, since statistics on this are so wildly skewed by attributing ANY death (even as a result of terminal cancer or a traffic fatality) to the corona virus IF the deceased has COVID-19 antibodies in their system! Furthermore, hospitals get paid by Medicare MUCH MORE if they treat someone for the virus!
This virus--if you actually catch it--has a survival rate of over 99.9%. You are FAR more likely to die from cancer, or a traffic accident, or a host of other issues. It is no more dangerous than the common seasonal flu.
With that said, California's wicked governor Newsom shut down churches almost immediately as "non-essential." Today, April 30th, he is now demanding that beaches be closed off to public access. First off, nothing is more essential than churches. Second, this is ordinary old fashioned tyranny and oppression. In many countries in the world where Christians face the threat of death for meeting together, they still meet together. In the United States, when Christians were told they can no longer meet for fellowship and Bible study, we collectively replied, "Oh sure, no problem!" and I think that is very sad and unfortunate.
It is a fact that 10 out of 10 people die (and that is not an inflated statistic!), but only some will choose to accept Christ's free gift of eternal life. If anyone should live a fearless life, it is Christians! Don't be controlled by media hysteria and fear-mongering.
